Dart Energy builds up UK CBM portfolio

Dart started its acquisition of UK CBM assets in Sep-2010 by acquiring Composite Energy. It paid $54 million to obtain interests in interests in 15 CBM blocks in the UK and 2 CBM blocks in Poland. Continue reading here..

Chariot Oil & Gas Completes BP Farmout

In the last quarter of 2011, Namibia saw an increased activity in trading exploration blocks. The prominent deals include UK listed Chariot Oil & Gas Ltd – British supermajor BP, Canadian listed Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd – British independent Azimuth Ltd and UK independent West Bay Investments Ltd, and Russian based Sintez – Canadian listed EnerGulf Resources. SandRidge – Dynamic deal inline with past transactions

SandRidge Energy Inc will acquire Dynamic Offshore Resources for $1.275 billion. Dynamic’s assets include low operating cost, mature fields (R/P~7 years, 80% developed).


SandRidge will pay $51,000/Daily BOE which is inline with some of the larger deals in the region, viz. Energy XXI-ExxonMobil valued at $44,720/Daily BOE and Apache-Devon valued at $36,696/Daily BOE. Continue reading here..
