Amerisur Resources Plc has been awarded two blocks – Las Palmas (5.93 million acres) and Coronillo (0.993 million acres) – within the Piriti and Pilar sedimentary basins in Paraguay. Amerisur had submitted an application for the award of three blocks on 19-Dec-2011. The application for the third block – Espartillar (5.93 million acres) – is currently under review by the Paraguayan authorities and the result is expected to be known before the end of Feb-2012.
